Today
Today I'm sitting in my car during lunch, wondering why I'm so frustrated with my new job after only three weeks.
Why?
I'm listening to my favorite self-help audiobook, The Masterpiece by Larry Janesky.
I really love his message, and I realized I haven't listened to it in a while.
Then it hit me.
I'm not frustrated with the job.
I'm really frustrated with myself.
I'm not doing what I want to be doing.
This isn't my God-given talent.
And you know what?
That's okay.
It's only a season.
Soon enough this season will end.
And another one will begin.
Maybe the next season won't look anything like this one.
Maybe I'll be somewhere else.
Doing something else.
It's temporary.
Isn't it funny how I have to keep reminding myself?
I constantly have to remember this is only for today.
Tomorrow will come soon enough.
I'm so impatient.
Always searching for instant results.
But really...
What's my hurry?
I need to slow down.
Remember, Stu...
This is only temporary.
