A Wonderful Day in the Mountains

A 2020 rewind to a perfect day in the Blue Ridge Mountains—golf, wildlife, and lifelong friends. Conestee Falls was the peaceful escape my soul needed in the middle of the Myositis journey.

Turn back the clock ⏪ — A REWIND from my myositis journey, where every step tells a story.

A Peaceful Escape in the Heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains

Conestee Falls is a peaceful masterpiece nestled in the majestic heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Western North Carolina.

In March of 2020, four lifelong friends—three brothers and I—enjoyed a day of golf, fellowship, and plenty of laughs. As always, it was nothing but good times.

I love this course; it’s my all-time favorite. It’s beautiful, with no shortage of wildlife. Squirrels are everywhere, and deer roam in packs. Around every turn, you see more of them, and it’s incredible how they seem completely unbothered by us as we play through.

Even better, it’s always a quiet day, which is perfect for a golfer. I don’t think I’ve ever played here when it’s been busy.

It’s just a short drive from Greenville, South Carolina—only an hour over the mountain at Caesars Head—and less than an hour to Asheville, NC.

👆 LOOK CLOSE: 5 deer, I missed the rest of them, as they moved on.
