This Sunday, I’ll Blow Out Candles—But More Importantly, I’ll Shine a Light
Yes, Sunday is my birthday—September 21st. I’ll be fifty-five. 😁
These days I don’t feel my age, but not so long ago I did. Back then, I felt my age and then some.
More importantly, this Sunday is World Myositis Day 🎈—a day to give a voice to a rare disease most people have never heard of.
I’ve lived with Myositis since 2015, when I was first diagnosed with Necrotizing Myopathy. It’s been a crazy road—plenty of highs and lows, and honestly, sometimes more lows than highs.
But today, life feels like it’s finally moving downhill in the best way. I’m grateful, and I’m grabbing happiness every chance I get. I’m trying to inspire people that anything is possible—and, maybe most importantly, I’m trying to inspire myself.
Everyone needs inspiration. And when you live with a rare disease, it’s even more important.
So this Sunday, please help me spread the word. Share this post and share my website, SeeStuGo.com.
Your kindness is needed more than you could possibly know. There’s someone out there right now who could use a little hope.
And maybe, if we work together, we can be their flashlight.
