Am I lucky?
Or do I make my own luck?
When I see someone who has what I want, are they just lucky? Or did they just make a decision to do something that I never did?
Think about this, Stu: How many times were you lucky? And why were you lucky?
What was different?
Was it really just the right time and place, or was it a decision?
A belief.
A belief to do something different.
I'll just do this, and maybe it will turn into something.
Maybe it was a simple "Hello, how are you?" that turned into something else.
You opened a door for someone, made a connection, and now you're friends for life.
Was that luck?
Or a stranger said something that changed your whole perspective, and it gave you this great idea. Was that luck? Or just an idea?
Does this idea turn into luck?
I don't know.
Maybe it's only lucky if you follow through with the idea.
You know, this could be anything.
It could be fitness.
Or even health.
That person is not lucky because they look great.
They go to the gym.
They eat right.
They might look lucky because they are slim and fit, but they don't normally get there with God-given talent.
It was hard work.
It was an idea. A decision.
A choice.
It's a choice to be healthy.
I think sometimes life can seem like luck.
"I have bad luck."
But really, it wasn't luck at all.
Can I make my own luck?
I believe I can.
But I have to be looking for this luck and actually see it happening in my own head.
And actually follow through with the idea.
Or else this luck will just be another great idea that never amounted to anything.
